George Gogas
George Gogas was a Montana artist, scholar, teacher, and accomplished horseman born in Missoula in 1929. Deeply influenced by Western culture and horses from a young age, he became a respected Quarter Horse trainer, AQHA judge, and co-founder of the Western Montana Quarter Horse Association. Known for blending art, storytelling, and horsemanship, Gogas was inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2026.
