Ben Steele
Ben Steele was a Montana rancher, artist, educator, and World War II veteran who survived the Bataan Death March and more than three years as a Japanese prisoner of war. Born in Roundup, Montana, Steele later became a respected art professor and illustrator whose work documented POW experiences and Montana life. He was inducted into the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2012.
