Don H. Mundt
Mundt's experiences, from growing up by the Rocky Mountains and Montana prairies to a "first-hand art history lesson" while serving in the Army in Europe to formal art training and post-graduate study at the University of Montana, have influenced his vision of sweeping landscapes. He was active in the Montana Institute of the Arts, a grassroots organization founded in 1948 to tie together and strengthen Montana's vast creative community. He continues to support the arts in Missoula as founder of Gallery 709 at Montana Art and Framing.
