Gallery 709 at Montana Art and Framing is excited to present:
Dancing Waters: The Lakes, Rivers, & Waterfalls of Yellowstone National Park

This exhibit features the watery realms which contribute to the allure of America’s firstnational Park. While the park’s thermal features and outstanding wildlife are obvious attractions, the park’s waters offer an entrancing counterbalance. Black and white photographer LeeSilliman, who ventured into Yellowstone’s backcountry for three weeks every year from 1990 to2006, recorded with his 8 x 10 inch view camera a wide variety of moods associated with thepark’s waters. These contact print images of Yellowstone’s dramatic waterfalls small and large, surging rapids, placid lakes--and even a beaver damned creek--give truth to Loren Eiseley’scogent observation: “If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.”

The exhibit runs from Febuary 7th through 28th, with an opening reception on Febuary 7th from 5-9 PM at 709 Ronan Street, Missoula, Montana. For more information,
